Are you taking the mask off while asleep because
-- your nose is hurting because the nasal tissue is being dried too much by the forced air?
-- your nose is blocking during the night?
-- the hose is dragging the mask off, or tugging on it to cause arousal, short of full waking?Drying of the tissue is remedied by turning up the setting on your heated humidifier. If you have not yet got a heated humidifier, go get one. Your problem is fixed if the mask then stays on overnight.
If your nose is blocking, try using an over-the-counter (non-prescription) oxymetazoline HCl 0.05% nasal spray for 2-3 nights. Your local pharmacy will likely have five or more branded and un-branded versions on its selves. If the mask is still on when you wake, get a prescription for Flonase or Nascort. It is important not to take the OTC remedy for more than 3 nights in a row, so it cannot be used longterm.Make sure that the hose is optimally routed: bring the free end to about mid-point 6 inches over your pillow, and suspend it there with light bungee cord, so that the hose can move with you, without tugging the mask.
If all else fails, ask a friend to observe your sleep, or set up a video camera!
