It depends on the available surface area that the water condenses on. Since the Shell has a smaller surface area inside, water builds up and ultimately drips and voila...rain out. I am convinced that after everything is insulated, it is the shell that is the problem since it is almost impossible to insulate. I think you will find that a mask can be used at a higher setting than the ADAM circuit. I also understand that there is another model of the FP humidifier heating plate that regulates the temperature to reduce rainout. I believe it is the HC150
