Apnea and dementia.

Posted by Peter Johnson on December 07, 2001 at 00:24:31:

Hi all. After reading this forum for a while it seems to me that OSA can cause certain symptoms that seem similar to dementia. These include memory loss, thinking difficulty, language problems, emotional instability, personality changes and hallucinations. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. Is there any connection between OSA and dementia? Are some people who have been diagnosed with dementia actually suffering from OSA? Thanks.
