I solved my rainout problem long ago with the methods already discussed...but I STILL experience rainout a couple of times a year. I think that no matter what you do, the weather, outside AND inside temperature, and the current humidity, will affect your humidifier's performance. But you should be able to knock it down to only a few days a year of rainout.
