This is a relatively common subject on this forum. Although I am a single guy, I have watched the relationship between men and women in my family and friends’ families. It seems to me that it is relatively easy for a woman to get what she wants. Words like “Do your own *^&%$ @#& laundry!” or “The recipe for your dinner is on the Food Channel at 7 o’clock” seem to work. A friends wife uses a plethora of tears along with “You (gasp) don’t (more gasping) love (increased gasping along with even more tears) me (lots of gasping and a flood of tears) any (gasp, gasp, gasp) more!” followed by a total break down. My friend is a total slave for at least a couple of weeks after that. In fact no words at all can have an effect. My Mom has perfected that one and has even tried it on me from time to time.
There are many things you can do (some are too obvious for this forum), be creative and try to have fun with it. One suggestion is the carrot and stick approach. I won’t do “cook” until you see doc and then I will “cook”. After 2 weeks of continual CPAP use I will “cook a big meal”. Use props such as “pots and pans”. Put a “cooking” magazine where he can see it if he does not get the point after a few days of not “cooking”.
Good Luck and keep us posted (I do not think we need to know the “menu”).
