bipap help

Posted by ray b on December 07, 2001 at 13:28:01:

hi I have been on a bipap machine for 14 months. I started out with a setting of 10 & 6 . I have had great success with it . I only wake up once all night where I used to get up every 45 minutes. I use a ultra mirrage mask. Last week I notice more pressure coming out of the machine. When the tec came to switch machines my pressure was set at 18& 7 . Now I know why my mask started to leak more .I had a little trouble sleeping last night because of the change of pressure back to the lower 10 & 6. did anyone ever have trouble with machines changing pressures ? Should I get a meter to check pressures ? I am used to bipap now and would never give it up ,and I DONT HAVE A HEATED HUMIDIFIER OR USE ANY NASAL SPRAYS. THANKS ray b
