ATTENTION: Sleep Apnea suffers who have had a baby

Posted by Miss Silky Kat on December 07, 2001 at 15:54:39:

I need HELP! I am 6 ½ weeks pregnant and I'm scared for my baby. I have one 10-year old child but was relatively healthy at the time. I'm 33 years old. Now I have sleep apnea that has adversely affected every part of my life not to mention that I'm obese now. I use my CPAP every night. I had a UPPP, tubinectomy, and tonsillectomy that helped me lose a lot of weight but I relapsed and gained it back. I then tried Provigil that helped but I had to stop when I found out I was pregnant. So now I have so much fatigue I am taking naps every day again and am so couch-potatoie again too. What's it going to be like when I'm 6, 7, or 8 months and more pregnant? If I feel like this what is happening to my poor little baby that is trying grow and develop inside me?

I would like to hear about your stories or stories of women you know who have had a baby(ies) that had sleep apnea during the pregnancy and how it turned out please, thank you.
