I also am at 15. It's somewhat noisy, but that never bothered me. It can run on U.S. or European AC current. There is a sinle plug, and a single hose. The newer models can be used with an inverter (if only DC is avaialbe). It has a three pronged plug, and the manufacturer insists that it be grounded (also known as "earthed").

There is also a Res-Med unit which is supposedly quieter that came to market recently.
