Oxygen Therapy? - Whats the final word.

Posted by OxygenRX on December 20, 2001 at 09:46:42:

Has anyone heard of or used oxygen during the day/night to treat sleep apnea? If so, where can you purchase oxygen - do you need an rx? The reason I ask is I was diagnosed with apnea but not to the severity where surgery/cpap is usually used - I have 9 apneas per hour and sometimes a few hypopneas. However, I do feel tired alot aand when I went to the dentist for surgery I got a little nervous and they put me on oxygen. I felt very good and had some energy afterwards. So, I was thinking - If I can get some O2 at home in a safe level - then I would be very very happy.
