Accredited Center?

Posted by JA on December 20, 2001 at 13:51:11:

I had a sleep study performed at the Minnesota Sleep Institute. I will not slam doctors as I work in a medical related industry. But I know I did get some very poor advice from the Doc assigned. I am waiting for an appointment at another center. Does anyone know if the Minnesota Sleep Institute is accredited? I called them and was given a line of crap. I checked the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and they are not listed there.

Second related question, what credentials should the Doc have? This clinic is affiliated with the Minnesota Lung Center and so I am suspicious that most of the Doc's are Pulmonologists with the sleep medicine as a side. Any help is appreciated.
