Sinus infections are absolutely the result of CPAP

Posted by Lawrence on January 02, 2002 at 18:02:27:

This was confirmed to me today by a pulmonary doctor who has seen many cases of this.
Why has this been kept quiet and secret by the equipment suppliers? Isn't the answer (money and sales) obvious to everyone and shouldn't we all try to get the word out on how dangerous a nasal CPAP can be to the sinuses. Isn't it obvious to anyone that chronic blowing of air (humidified or not and cold or hot) for 8 hours a night into our nasal passages have to have a toll on the sinuses. How can anyone not understand this? Lets get the word out so others will not suffer as I and many others have suffered and still suffer from sinus infections and general blockage. This problem is serious and chronic.
