When I am using my nasal mask the only effects I have had from accumulation of rain-out in my mask is 'loss of the seal'. I just lift the mask a little, shake out the mask, wipe off my face, and go back to sleep. I never got water up my nose. After my mask got more than a couple months old I no longer lost my seal from the water in my mask, but still shake out the moisture so I don't get irritation.
