I am puzzled by the comment about needing a letter from your doctor for the full face mask because of the backup into the stomach. I may be wrong (and I am sure someone will set me straight if I am) but there should be little or no difference between a nasal mask vs. a full-face mask with relation to the stomach. The full face mask just allows you to sleep with your mouth open.

I am not sure about your insurance in your country, but they may need a doctor's prescription to get it paid for under the plan. If you don't have a plan, I would think you could order it (and the humidifier) over the internet without a prescription at a much better price than at a local DME. The only item you need a prescription for is the actual xPAP machine as it needs to have the pressure set. Check out the Sleep Mall for some vendors.

You might also consider a chin strap to stop the mouth breathing.
