I was born 4#1oz, and the first few months of my life were touch and go. I think I survived because from birth I was a fighter. The last couple of years as my health has seriously deteriorated that trait has come in handy; the more diagnoses the doctors add the more determined I become; and the more I appreciate life, and all the things in it whether small or large.

So, here's my list:
Now age 50. Have delayed sleep syndrome (nice to hear others are staying up nights also - grin), CHF (in remission), Pulmonary Hypertension, High Blood Pressure (controlled with meds), multiple organ damage, 8 documented (tiny) strokes, short term memory loss (improving with CPAP use), high cholesterol, aethlersclerosis, 50 # overweight, severe degenerative disk disorder (inoperable), small fiber neuropathy (with numbness/reduction of feelings in feet, legs, hands, and arms, muscle wasting on left side, reduction in smell and taste, contracture of muscles and tendons - now having to walk with a cane), carpul tunnel, hip bursitis, numerous alleries, reflux (almost gone with CPAP use), depression (treated with meds), migraines (thankfully getting much less with age), and questionable diagnoses of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatique (who wouldn't be tired with all this going on?), and of course, sleep apnea. Doctor's get overwhelmed at how to handle my 'case', but I figure if I am not about to give up why should they.
