Chances are you will sleep much better because you will be able to breathe and will achieve REM sleep. I had a split night study meaning the first part of the night, the tech gathered data without the CPAP, and during the second part of the night, I wore the CPAP while being titrated to the pressure necessary for me. I slept like a baby for those 4 hours with CPAP. I had 133 minutes of REM sleep that first time (REM rebound). At my second study, a year later, I had a more usual 63 minutes of REM. My body absolutely soaked up the need for REM.
