A lot of masks are made to be worn loose rather than tight. Mine is an ultra mirage and is loose enough that I would have a major leak, if the bladder (flap) was not there to inflate.

If you have an ultra mirage or other nasal mask with a soft flap that touches your face, try loosening it quite a bit, put it on, lie down and turn on your CPAP. When the air is flowing, pull the mask away from your face slightly and jiggle a little. This will allow the flap to settle into the nooks and crannies of your face. You may need to adjust the straps several times before you get a good seal, but remember, on this type of mask, go for loose. You don't want strap marks on your face when you wake up. If you have them, it is too tight!

If you don't have this type of mask, maybe someone else can help.

Good luck.
