Yep, similiar thing with me. Very mild apnea kept waking me up all night but I could never tell what it was until I put a video camera on me - as soon as I fell asleep and my jaw relaxed I snorted/choked and woke up. I'm a light sleeper. It screwed me up big time - caused some weired anxiety like symptoms, etc that the dr treated with your regular drugs - I hear that's common. Thankfully it only took me 9 months to figure it out. My guess is that we all have a little osa but even my little amount was not acceptable for me. Others have it a lot worse than I do but just snore through it then have other bigger problems years later.

My sleep dr had no trouble lending me an autoset T to see if it would help, it's part of the testing they do. Yes, it helped, and I've had about a month of decent sleep so far. May have to twist some arms. One problem is that it can take several weeks to work out the kinks such has masks, etc, so see if they will lend/rent you one for a month or 2 to try it out. I've used 4 masks and the ultra-mariage seems to be the best because of the hinge on the head piece helps match the angle of the mask to your face better.
