HI,

i have tried the 418P,a nd am also trying an autoset T, and will try the new (in australi) resmed autoset spirit soon. I really like the 418P and my only hesitation in having bought one is I want to at least try the 'spirit' as well. as the 418P uses a pressure senosr hose that ends right up where your mask attaches it works with any humidifier or not and OK with all masks etc, and the nasal pillows are made by thew people that make the 418P so again no hassles there.

It seems though that in the USA the sowftare can be a problem in terms of some people not suppying it, others charging LOTS of money, and others making it easily available and affordable, so shop around I guess.

I found the unit and OK size and quiet, the software a little more daunting to use than that from ResMed, but OK if you know your way around a computer and help files.

As Perry points out for use with a humidifier you need an extension ot the pressure sensing hose. My supplier here in OZ actualyl just supplied soem extra tubing form an aquarium store(!) and replaced it in the hose so it had about 12 inches extra. it seemed to work just fine!

cheers

Chris
