Airline sleep without my CPAP

Posted by old on January 20, 2002 at 19:21:17:

A new job assignment will require occasional international flying. First trip is scheduled in 2 weeks and will be a 14 hour over night flight. I would appreciate any experience/suggestions regarding sleep on the plane without my CPAP. (The airline apparently doesn't have a place to plug one in.)

I do plan to travel with it and use it while over seas. I have done so before. My concern is trying to get there as rested as possible and without having disturbed the other passengers.

Any experience out there with trying to sleep without a CPAP after several years of relying on one? Any experience with a product called Snore enz, Breathe Right strips, sleeping pills, etc.? Sleeping sitting up seems likely to have some what less snoring and apnea symptoms... but I don't know whether any of these products may also be of help.

Thanks in advance for any feedback or insights.
