Hello wolfgang,

Its good to hear from you again and I hope we can continue to give you some help and hope.

There are others on the forum who are much better prepared to answer your question than I am, but I still hope that I can help.

The last time you and I conversed I made some suggestions on how you might position yourself to get some sleep and lessen or avoid having any apneas. I mentioned raising the head of your bed or sleeping in a chair or recliner or forcing yourself to sleep solely on your side instead of your back. Have you been able to try these and what were the results? Maybe a mild sleep medicine (to help with the anxiety and insomnia) coupled with one of these suggestions might help.

Also, I know that your are with the British military and in a foreign (friendly) county and are having to go through the official channels for your medical needs. What is the situation concerning getting the appointment with the ENT and getting the referral for the sleep study? Is there any way an officer or someone can intervene and speed up the process? I assume that you have had to see a general practioner for the referral to the ENT. Is the GP aware of the seriousness of your fatigue and anxiety and could they help speed things up?

Until you get the medical assistance you need, know that you have friends here that care about you and your situation. Also know that at one level or another we have been through the frustrations, anxieties, delays, etc. that you are dealing with right now. We'll help any way we can. So stick with us and see this through. It will be worth it.

Jim
