The tape recorder may be objected to by the doctor. I took one to be certain that I had complete notes. The doctor did not want me to use it. (Concerned about malpractioce.) Next visit he had another doctor in the office when talking to me. I guess that he thought that I would hide a tape recorder.

Incidentally this doc did not check the tech's calcultions. Reported RDIs were about 2/3 actual. I did not figure it out until 6 years later.

Having someone accompany you is a very good idea.
