Remstar Plus Pricing

I am puzzled by the huge difference in the price being quoted for the Respironics Remstar Plus by my sleep-study clinic vs what I found on the web -- $1,985 vs $487. I am sure the clinic's prices are inflated somewhat, but can anyone shed some light on anything I might have overlooked.
