hot glue will not work

Maybe for a short time, but the strength is just not there.
This has happened many times with me and I use a soldering gun to melt/weld it back together.
When this fails get a new hose guide and use old one to strengthen it. splice 1- 2 inch section and
weld this in place and it works like a charm.
Gotta have it aligned when welding though....
gotta be creative.
