Actually, that split down the middle seems to be there by design to allow the hose guide to torque and twist.
However, I've had two of them crack halfway across, just beyond the so-called "outrigger" pad. This exposes the split and makes it look like it is broken.
The guide is made of polycarbonate (which technically isn't supposed to crack like this, but does) and the only glue I have found that lasts is a superglue called "Poly ZAP." It's used by model builders and is available at hobby stores that cater to radio-controlled cars. It's hard to find, so call around first. It is specifically for hard, space-age plastics, including polycarbonate.
This stuff lasts for a while and is fine for emergencies. It dries very quickly. But the real fix is to buy a new hose channel -- about $20 on the internet.
I'm told that newer Breezes are stronger.
