I am currently in the process of getting an oral appliance to use as a secondary OSA solution. Basically, it is a mouthguard that can be set to force the lower jaw to sit forward of the upper jaw. This keeps the tongue from resting on the back of your throat. It is also easily adjustable to allow you to set it so it works best for you without pain.

The cost is fairly high at $1100, but insurance for me pays 80% and that helps a lot. I like to camp and will be vacationing in Australia this summer and I do not want to have to cart my CPAP around with me.

Since I don't have it yet, I cannot tell you how it works, but I will give my results on this forum when I have them. It may be an option for you. Ask your Sleep Dr. about it and see what he/she thinks.
