Try using a little neosporin or similar ointment to lubricate and reduce irritation. Some of the ointments even have lidocaine or similar topical anesthetic, this may help too.

Make sure that the plenum (the part that holds the nasal pillows) is angle up so that the air flow is aimed straight up your nose. Make sure that there is minimal pressure against your nose, just enough to make a seal.
