I used to occasionally get chipmunk cheeks, but learned to deal with them quickly. I expect you will too. They happen when the seal between your tongue and the airway breaks and air rushes into your mouth. If your mouth was open, you'd be mouth breathing. Keeping the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth behind your front teeth helps keep the seal and eliminates the problem. If it still happens, you can learn to simply "breathe it away" and let it go out your nose (don't swallow the air into your stomach).
