If you are running your heated humidifier on a very high setting and your hose is exposed in a cool room you are going to have droplets of water condense inside the hose. If your hose is higher than your head or if the condesate is on the inside of your mask the droplets will "rain out" of the hose/mask onto your face. In my case I have a Breeze (nasal pillows) and the droplets run up my nose - this tends to be annoying at two or three o'clock in the morning.

This can be avoided by insulating the hose, keeping the hose lower than the mask, and/or running the hose under the bed covers.

I run my humidifier to the max, insulated the hose with the sleeve from CPAPman, put moleskin on the Breeze pillow holder, and an athletic sock over the hose extension. No more snorting water in the middle of the night.
