I had the same problem when I first started and during my first 2 months, my "chipmunk cheeks" problem just got worse. I tried many possible solutions but none worked well for me. I eventually had to switch to a full-face mask(Mirage Full-Face Series2 mask, medium size, standard cushion) and that solution has been working best for me at this time. Once in a while, I can have a tiny "chipmunk cheek" occur with my full-face mask since the air pressure inside my mouth & nose is higher than the pressure outside my cheeks but it doesn't "blowout" my cheeks or make air rush out my mouth like it did when I was using my nasal pillow system.
