Insurance and the Breeze

Posted by Bill on January 31, 2002 at 08:42:12:

I was diagnosed with OSA about 18 months ago. After several months of torture trying to live with the mask my doctor prescribed for me, I bought a Breeze and it's been a pleasure. I need a new one, my doctor prescribed it, but the DME supplier (Apria) says my insurance company (Anthem) won't cover the Breeze. Is this unusual? It's the only system that works for me and I don't want to have to pay out of pocket for the rest of my life.
