CPAP or Apap is usually determined by your pressure setting and bi-pap is usally for those who have trouble exhaling against a high pressure setting. If you can rent one do that until you see what you really do well with. Yes to a heated humidifier. I like the F&P but there are thoses who like the built-in one on their CPAP. Above all don't let them talk you into a passover. Heated is the only way to go and the F&P it is easy to fill and clean.
