CPAP's and masks are cheap / Studies aren't.

CPAP's and masks are relatively cheap, so I think that insurance companies are not overly concerened about that. CPAP patients will need three studies in the first claendar year, one the second, and one every other year, or every 1.5 years. This is an expensive propostion. This is according to - well, you know who my sleep doctor is.

Furthermore, the first one is the 23-hour test for Narcolepsy, which costs $2,400 (12-hour test is $1,500). These are 1999 prices in the N.Y. City area.
