Some questions

Posted by huff-n-puff on February 09, 2002 at 07:56:09:

1. Can you replace the soft part of the mask (gel seal) anywhere, or do you always have to replace the whole thing?
2. I would like to hear how long some people have been on CPAP. I doing 4 plus almost 5 years now.
3. I'm haven't reduced my incidences to zero with CPAP is this possible? I'm at 46 per hour with CPAP set @ 13 plus 2 ltr of o2. Off machine I'm at 119 per hour? I took my 4th sleep study last week. When I asked the tech if I was under the 119 mark off machine, I was told too many to count, that I was the worst case he had in 17 years. I'm on my 4th doc with three telling me its time to get ready for the big dirt nap. Hey I scared! I'm 53 with two of my four kids still at home. I could use some suggestions?
