I've had several doc's try with no luck. I have a deformed throat, along with both the soft tissue and the central apnea. I also have two cardiac incidents when I don't use the 02. I live at 8,000 feet, spent the last 26 years as a COP with crappy insurance and an even more crappy retirement. I have four step children, 2 live with me, one 10 & one 14. I can't move, medical retirement isn't something I have. So yes in fact I guess I have given up. Getting tired of hearing the "is your life in order" speal, al though I have out lived all of thier predictions. I talk to the new doc on the 21st of this month. He is talking surgery as a possibility. Only problem is that of my employees that have had the surgery done, most of them have even more complications, none of thier cases are anywhere as bad as mine and are correctable by CPAP.
