At the level your apnea is at I would not mess with having the various surgeries on the soft palate, throat, or jaw - I would go straight for the tracheotomy. Trach would be far better than the 'dirt nap'. --- I understand about wanting to give up; sometimes when we have so much to deal with and we seem to get no positive results... many of us demonstrate that we have given up, or are beaten down by lifes struggles, by living our life in a way that is not beneficial to our health or happiness. I am guilty of this myself, and continually have to work at trying again. I expected life to get easier as I got older (and hopefully a little wiser) but I keep getting more tough lessens 'that life is not fair, but I gotta deal with what's on my plate anyway'. Personally, for me, I could not keep on keepin on if I did not have a therapist to talk to to deal with all the issues, look also at the positives, and find ways to focus on improving or taking control of my life. You are too young to give up and die. A therapist could help you hang in there and take steps to change your focus.
