. . . you should definately be using a heated humidifer. Oxygen is very irritating and will really dry out your sinuses. Humidification will counteract that.
If all else fails, there's still tracheotomy. It may not be pretty - and I was delighted that I didn't need one - but it's worth it to keep you alive.
