Oops, I put this response under the wrong heading. This is in response to Barney Rubbles post.....I use the SunRay light box. I change the lights periodically; should be changing them again soon. I mainly use my light box for seasonal affective disorder now - I have pretty much given up trying to change my circadian rythm, but maybe I should make another stab at it since I am now treated with CPAP. Not everyone can change their circadian rythm; it all depends on what caused the change. There is a strong hereditary factor in some families; my mother is an extreme lark. Mine was caused by trauma when I was 7 years old; after a 3 day coma I woke in the middle of the night to bright lights, and I have been an incurable night owl ever since. It really made going to school difficult; I was in crash and burn mode most of the time. Doctors have told me the chances of me changing it, even with light therapy, is almost nil. I spent 1987 through 2000 making repeated, unsuccessful attempts, to change it. I didn't know that CPAP therapy could help it, so I think I'll get me some new lights and try one more time.
