The nasal congestion may be from the CPAP, or may be from other causes entirely (such as a head cold or nasal polyps or a deviated septum).

Some people -- a very few people -- actually get MORE congestion from humidifiers.

I sympathize with your plight. It is truly miserable. I would visit an ENT who specializes in sinus issues. Among a number of treatments available are topical steroid nasal sprays such as Flonase or Nasonex.

When I had a similar problem, it turned out to be caused by severe nasal polyps and required surgical treatment. I was badly congested all the time, CPAP or not. An awful experience. Not everyone has to go through surgery, however.
