Hi, I also have anxiety and depression. Prozac helps me a lot. There is no way I can tell you not to be nervous. Your own feelings are doing their thing. Besides medication, you might think of getting some Cognitive therapy or some similar type therapy where you actually train your thoughts to keep on the positive and keep from going down the slipery sloop of negative and scary thoughts. It sounds very difficult but from what I have heard, slowly, you can improve your anxiety by just not giving in to the scary thoughts. I am not a doctor. I have mentioned before I admire your persistence in helping yourself. I don't think you are a psychiatric case just because you are being treated by a psychiatrist. Remember those who are getting help are the SANE people. So start right now and talk to yourself. Certainly you can do this sleep study. You are not going there to face a firing squad or to be tortured. What is the worse thing that happen? You might have to go back for another night? I am sure they get plenty of people that suffer from anxiety. Lay back and let them take care of you. Hey, you might even luck out a get a nice good looking gal to hold your hand . Remember that fighter pilots have to wear masks for hours . Similarly, football players wear mouth pieces and helmets for hours. They get used to it. I bet you when the test is all over, you will say that it wasn't that bad afterall. Good luck, I will be thinking about you and prayers also. Joy
