Fitting on Series 2 FF

Posted by Tired of Waiting for Insurance on February 15, 2002 at 12:57:22:

Hey all --

The DME required by my insurance charges $700 for the Mirage Series 2 Full Face mask -- needless to say, my insurance refuses to pay! But the problem is that I need to be fitted -- I don't know what size I wear. Someone told me that a male at a smidge less than 6 foot and ~175 lbs would need a medium - but that's hardly a scientific answer. None of the other places around here carry face masks so I'm stuck... I must have called a dozen places all over Maryland... any suggestions?

Would it be idiotic to just buy one off the net without being properly fitted first? I think I wore either a small or medium Spectrum mask -- but I hate it. With passion. So I'm not inclined to go by that!
