When you relax and go to sleep your airway closes, you are not able to breath, your carbon dioxide levels go up, your oxygen levels go down, your brain and tissues become oxygen deprived, adrenlin starts pumping, your heart races, your organs become stressed, your brain comes to the conclusion you are dying, and as a last ditch effort to survive you wake up.

Now, be honest, are you worried about a little red eye?

You may consider using your CPAP for any sleep time.
