HELP me please- I am desperate and ADDICTED

Posted by Lawrence on March 11, 2002 at 01:52:57:

A doctor told me to take a nasal spray like Otrivin prior to taking the nasal spray Flonase for polyps I have in the sinus and nose. What has happened is that I have become dependent on taking these Otrivin and or its counterparts to such a degree that I suffer from extreme nervousness and my nose is totally blocked without taking it. Please help me by letting me know how I can stop taking these over the counter nasal sprays so I can get to sleep by getting my airways open throught their use.
What makes my case so bad is that I also have Asthma and sleep apnea. I have consulted ENT doctors but not one has helped me with this. Has anyone had this problem and figured out a way to stop taking these dangerous nasal sprays.
DESPERATE and waiting for you help:
p.s. I have tried saline solutions and use of a humidifier but they have not helped.
