Yes this was for deviated septum. It was done in Hospital day surgery unit. I had no pain,(used 4 codenepill rest of time just tylenlol)I know others who have had no pain and yet some who had great pain. The Medrol given for swelling i was highly sesitive to.(severe side effects) There was to sets of packs. 1st were blood catchers which came out the day after, the others were for splinting. These were like the things the dentist stuffs in your mouth. they remain for 4 weeks. My doc said they may fallout on theirs own or he would remove them, after 3.5 weeks they loosened up and blocked my breathing so I gently exhaled them out thru my nose. His relpy was oh you couldn't wait for me to taskem out? (he said it kind of jokingly). I could breathe much better.He said no cpap for 3 weeks after surgery. (My wife slept on the couch). I'm going to have allergy treatments start in a week or so. I would recomend this surgery to anyone who has a deviated septum.
