Wife having surgery

Posted by Harold McFly on March 11, 2002 at 07:10:14:

My wife is having UPPP with Tonsilectomy on thursday. Can anyone tell me what to expect. I have heard and read about the pain, but would like personal experiences. Also, I have heard about weight loss following surgery, any truth to it? My wife is about 45 lbs overweight for her height and bone structure. Does apnea cause weight gain. She has obstructive and central.

Thanks for any advice.
