Fog generally uses a nearly fifty/fifty blend of canning salt and baking soda and does not at all "blast" the solution anywhere. Fog uses a waterpik with a Grossan adapter to force the solution up a nostril into the sinuses and down the other nostril, NOT into the mouth.
This is a pulsatile stream, not a steady stream, which aids the cilia in regaining their rhythm.
