The problem is that the effectiveness of the Afrin gradually wears off and you end up pouring it down your nose every hour or so. Eventually it just stops working at all.

It also causes your tongue to get coated with a disgusting white coating and gives you bad breath and a really vile taste in your mouth. In my case, it aggrivated my high blood pressure. Also gave me odd "shivers" and made my scalp crawl.
