I bought a hardsided carryon bag (samsonite). It has wheels if needed. I have even checked it with the cpap equipment loaded a couple of times. No problem. Wrapped everything in bubble wrap material before putting it in the bag.
Saved a lot of hassle at security, in spite of the risk of loss etc.
