Tim, I can't tell you much about any of the autoPAPs, but if I'm reading your post right your supplier is telling you that there is no such machine.
If so, I'd look for another supplier. If you want an autoPAP, there are plenty of brands and models available. If the supplier is saying there is no such thing, they are telling you that they don't stock them or they don't want to deal with them or your insurance company won't pay for one. In other words, they just want to foist off a regular CPAP on you.
Look on the sleep forum (click the button at the top of the main apnea web page). You'll find descriptions of all the auto adjust machines there.
However, having said all this, let me point out that the vast majority of users are perfectly satisfied with plain vanilla CPAPs. If for some reason you really need an autoPAP, by all means get one, but they aren't magic and for many people don't provide any extra benefit at all. I've been using a basic CPAP for 4 years without any problems whatsoever -- in fact, I've been so successful I think of myself as sort of a "poster child" for CPAP.
