Sorry Doug,

I know you consistantly stress the advantage of a built in humidifier. It Really is Very convienent. However functionally it is identical to a seperate humidifier, both in theory and in practice.

The Main advantage is in ease in dealing with the breaucrats at insurance companies. If the machine has a built in heated humidifer then there is no problem in getting them approved. Since no cpap should be used without a heated humidifer, I would think all of them should just build them in. But the bean counters tend to think diffenently. If you use cpap wihout heated humidity, and rent it for a couple of months, and then discard it as unusable, it is cheaper than someone who complies with the treatment.
