I have the F&PHC200 and the filter is NOT washable. I buy a pack of 4 from my DME for $6.00 to $8.00. My machine is in floor so I change filters every 3-4 weeks when they become slightly discolored. You can also get them on the web but you pay shipping.

The filter is extremely important to keep your breathing air and the machine air pathways clean. It is strange how often people obsess on cleaning their gear and forget the machine filters - in my opinion clean filters are far more important than the gear cleaning.

Unless you are really in the boonies check the yellow pages and you may be able to buy the filters now.
